Healing
Healing is available
Through Christ we believe healing is available today. The bible tells us to pray for those who are sick. Jesus said, ‘And these signs will follow those who believe: … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:17-18)
It says in James, ‘Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.’ (James 5:14-15)
We believe these scriptures are as true for us today as when they were first written.
Growing in the Healing Ministry
We recognize that we are still growing and developing in the healing ministry, and that not everyone we pray for is instantly healed. However, just as a medical doctor doesn’t give up when a treatment is not immediately successful, so we continue to pray for healing. We recognise God is the healer and do not in anyway claim to be able to heal by ourselves.
Everyone is welcome to come and receive prayer both at our main Sunday service and by appointment.
